2026 H1B Lottery Fees

In this article, we will give you a comprehenseive breakdown of the all-in cost of an H1B lottery application from start to finish. For a detailed summary of the process steps and timeline, see this page.

The fees for the lottery are broken into two stages:

  1. Lottery entry (the work and fees associated with entering the candidate into the lottery in March), and
  2. H1B Petition (the work and fees associated with preparing and filing the full application during the months of April-June if the candidate is accepted in the lottery).

Please note that our lottery fee has increased from this year due to the requirements of the new weighted selection process. To properly position our clients within the weighted system, we will complete work that in prior years we started only after a candidate was selected in the lottery. Because we will then be starting selected applications with more work already done, we will offer a discounted petition fee.

  • Lottery Fees
    • Attorney Fee: $1750
    • Administrative fee for 3-year Compliance File Hosting: $325
    • Government Filing Fee: $215 government filing fee

If your candidate is not selected in the lottery. The process stops there. No fees are refunded, as the work has already been completed, and no additional fees will be due. If your candidate is selected and you would like to file the full H1B petition, the following fees will apply:

  • H1B Petition Fees
    • Attorney Fee: $2625 attorney fee (25% discount from our normal $3500 fee)
    • Government Filing Fees: Four separate fees total $2010 for companies with 25 or fewer employees and $3300 for larger companies

We would be happy to discuss your needs for the 2026 lottery! Feel free to check out our fee schedule or book a time to discuss with one of our attorneys here.
